More Friends Along the Red Thread

Last week, Melanie finally had the opportunity to connect with Patty and her two precious daughters after a few months of e-mailing. Patty opened up their lives and shared her photo albums, stories of their trips to China and her 100 Good Wishes Quilt with Melanie. This is their story:
Our names are Jeff and Patty. We have two sons that were born to us and two daughters that were born in China. Our first adoption from conception (turning in the application to CCAI) to delivery (having our daughter placed in our arms) took almost 20 months. She joined our family on February 23, 2003. Our second adoption took less than 11 months with our daughter joining our family on December 20, 2004. My oldest son who was seven at the time spent Christmas in China with me getting our daughter, while my husband spent Christmas at home with our other two children. We arrived home at 11pm on New Year’s Eve. It was a very memorable holiday season. Our oldest daughter is our little princess and inspired us to adopt the second time. Our youngest daughter is our little firecracker and brings spark to our lives. We are so blessed to have all of our children who are such good siblings as well as best friends who love each other so much.
