Along this journey, we have been so fortunate to meet so many incredible people. We met Mark and Barrie a few months back through the introduction via e-mail of a woman in Melanie's Adoption Support Group. Ironically, we soon began to realize that we were all at the very same Orientation meeting in October at CCAI. We have attended a couple of CCAI Adoption classes together (again, not having planned them), and after our initial dinner with other CCAI waiting families at the Rio Grande, have gathered together for a few dinners, beers, margaritas, discussion, laughter, and frustration over the long waiting process. Mark and Barrie's Log in Date is 2/28/06 and ours is 3/15/06. We are only within a couple of weeks of eachother and have hopes that we will be fortunate enough to travel to China together. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope. We look forward to Kelsie and Hailey playing together soon and for many years to come. We joke that we're hoping to get our matches from the tall Provences of China as Barrie is 6', Melanie is 5'9" and Brent & Mark are both a bit over 6'2" !!
We also like to tease Mark, who is from Wales. We're learning lots of different Welsh sayings, which is quite entertaining! Kelsie is bound to have a very colorful vocabulary!
