...And Away We Go!!!

And away we go!!! Can you believe it?? After 4 years, the time is here!! We leave tomorrow to fly to LA and then out to Beijing directly. The 3rd of August is "Gotcha Day!" (technically the 2nd for us here in Colorado).

We'll spend 2 days in Beijing and then we're off to Chongqing - Hailey's current home (see photo). They tell us that this time of year, it is known as "one of the three furnaces." It is supposed to be hot, humid and yes, polluted. The heat and humidity have been described as "more than oppressive."

Brent and I are nervous, excited, scared and happy all rolled into one confusing ball of emotions. Right now, all we can think of and focus on is our daughter. And we're finally going to be able to go get her and bring her home!

Important!! Please note!! We have heard that there are certain Blog Sites that have been shut down in China, including Blogspot (this site). Therefore, we may not have access to it to update this particular blog.

HOWEVER, we have heard that www.babyjellybeans.com is functioning fine, so I went ahead and started a blog for Hailey there JUST IN CASE!! I've named that site: www.journeytohailey.com.
