On Saturday, Barrie went all out threw a shower for me! Wow! So many great surprises!! She had decorated her house so very cute with little onsies hanging on a clothes liner over the fireplace, pink balloons, a ducky floating in the spiked punch and a "China or Bust" poster on the door. She even had a cake with Hailey's photo on it which was so cute and unique. We don't call her "Ms. Martha" for nothin'!!! Thank you, Auntie Barrie!! We love you and are so very grateful that you, Mark and Kelsie will be a big part of Hailey's life!
All three Grandmas were there: Mom, Karen and Teresa! What a lucky girl to have 3 great Grandmas in town! Their main purpose on this earth is to see how much they can spoil the child and they started out with a big bang on Saturday with the great gifts. You guys are loved!!!
Little Kelsie Mei James was quite the hostess with her little pink high heals that clicked on the wood floor. She was quite the clown and entertainer for us all. She and Mahriana (Anna's 5 year old daughter) got along famously and she was sure to share lots of kisses with others.
Friends from Manitou High were there (oh, and we went to Jr. High together too). Gotta' love Face Book - it's brought us all together again for occassional margaritas and good conversation 22 years later!
Gifts, gifts and more gifts. And, can we mention the CLOTHES this girl got? My Lord! "Dad" says that she's forbidden for buying another outfit until she's 18! ha ha! We can barely squeeze them all in her closet. She is going to be one well dressed kid!! :)
We got a super cute "diaper cake" that my Assistant, Charity, made. The girl's got talent! That's for sure! Brent and I sat and marveled at it all evening after I brought it home. He'd never seen anything like that. So cute!!
I'm so fortunate to have such great friends and family! And, thanx, Mamma (aka "Grammy")!! The car seat's a true hit with "Dad!" He's already got it secure and ready to go in his truck! He loves the thing! How cute is my hubby?? Thank you to everyone who was there for the surprises and gifts!! You made it such a special day!
