We finally have a complete name for Hailey. It's funny, because it's not at all what we started out with 4 years ago when we were thinking of middle names. But like my good friend, Jon, said to us most recently when talking about his own adopted daughter: "You don't have a story yet. Her name will come to you when you know more about the story."
...And he was right. We decided upon "Hailey Jada Hua Henn"
"Jada": Derived from the word "Jade." In the Chinese culture, the jade is not only a beautiful green stone, it stands for beauty, grace and purity. It symbolizes beauty, nobility, perfection, constancy, power and immortality. As the Chinese saying goes: 'Gold has value; jade is invaluable."
"Hua" (pronounced "wha"): This is part of her given name by the Caregivers at the Orphanage. It means "gorgeous/prosperous." We love the meaning, and better yet, "Hua" is part of her..it's part of her story.
